"My husband competes and is in the gym daily. At first he had a hard time figuring out how to use this product. Directions are not very clear. So the videos that other customers post on here were very helpful. Once he figured them out. It’s his go to in his gym bag. He’s constantly getting asked at the gym what they are. After he shows them they say they want a set. This is a pricy but yet worth it product. If you live drop sets and hate unwrapping your straps. Or just hate to stop your burn to move the pin down. "In my original post on this item I said unfortunately it did work for me; probably due to me not installing them correctly or possibly the machines not being compatible with them. Well, it was ME not in setting them correctly! Steve e-mailed me and said to be sure the trigger was inserted in the hole in the plate below which I was not doing. Doing this is what holds the pin in position until you start the set and that was what my problem was. Steve pointed this out in his email to me but in the written instructions I got with the pins, that isn’t mentioned. It’s shown in the pics, but were so small I missed it. But I should have figured that out by myself as I wondered why the trigger was so long. I thought about putting it in the hole but thought being plastic it would break when the stack came together at the end of a set. Anyway, today they worked flawlessly on a back and bicep workout and I consider them the best training invention since the Trap Bar!! Thanks to all who responded to my reviews with help!!"

"Absolutely love the Performance Pins. Use them during every workout. I will also add that you take the manufacturer serious when they say you should make sure there is enough clearance between the weight stack and the pulley system. I thought I had it measured correctly but during the first rep of the set I felt a very disturbing crunching feeling and knew immediately what happened. I am a Snap fitness member and all the Matrix equipment seems to have enough clearance but some of the Cybex do not. Luckily the important parts of the pins were salvageable and I was able to rebuild it."
